Description
Coherence: Decay is a story-driven, isometric, turn-based squad-tactics game in the spirit of classic deep-sea X-COM. You command AEGIS — an elite unit deployed when a Bloom wakes in the ocean depths and floods the zone with psychic and electronic distortion that disables technology and unravels the human mind. Only Anchors — rare operators who can hold their minds together inside it, the strongest steadying the rest — can lead a squad into that zone and survive. Tactical missions feed a geoscape layer of research and growth aboard your mobile fortress, the Leviathan, across a campaign that carries the fight from the ocean floor out into alien space — all against a doom clock that never stops.
Key features
- The Anchor Tax. Your Anchors are what keep a squad's minds together inside the Bloom — losing one mid-mission is designed to be a catastrophe, not a stat change. XXX
- Command the Leviathan. A mobile fortress HQ — research, rebuild, and re-arm AEGIS between deployments while the doom clock ticks.
- An escalating campaign. Carry the fight from the deep ocean out into alien space as the threat climbs the Wrongness scale.
- 32 unique operators. Real histories, hand-written, with permanent consequences.
