What is Coherence: Decay?
A story-driven, isometric, turn-based squad-tactics game in the spirit of classic deep-sea X-COM, with loot and progression inspired by Path of Exile and a long-haul sandbox philosophy in the spirit of Starsector.
When does it release? What platforms?
It's in active development. PC first; a Steam page is coming soon. Specific platforms and dates are [STUB] — join the waitlist to hear first.
Will it be Early Access?
That's the plan: a complete core loop you can buy early and keep playing as it grows — "buy early, keep playing forever." Pricing is [STUB].
How can I help right now?
Join the waitlist, wishlist on Steam the moment the page is live, and (soon) join the Discord for playtests. Wishlists are the single biggest thing that helps a small game at launch.
Do operators really die permanently?
Yes. The 32 operators have real histories, they level and bond — and when one falls, that loss is permanent. Protecting them is the heart of the game.
Is AI used to make the game?
The characters, their stories and dialogue are written entirely by the developer, without AI. See the full AI Development Policy.
